The Solar Eclipse (August 11, 1999)

Here are some snapshots that I took with my digital camera during the total solar eclipse on August 11, 1999. The show was fascinating but the weather was awful and cloudy as you can see it. At 12:16 PM my time (10:16 PM UTC), the Moon was covering about 95 to 100% of the surface of the Sun in my area. Because of the clouds I could hardly see it but the feeling was strange as the sky was getting darker and the air cooler. This instant lasted 2' 20".
What's a pity the weather was so bad, it would have looked so much better on a blue sky.
The next total solar eclipse here is expected for the year 2081 in the south of France and in more than 300 years in my area!
